Review by hotel critic
The medieval fortified village exuded a timeless allure, and the old archaic architecture added a special atmosphere to the dining experience in the courtyards and terraces. the stunning views of the surrounding hills and sea were well worth the slightly longer drive from Urbino. While the room within the castle walls was spacious and clean, the architecture could be challenging for taller guests due to low ceilings and small windows. the breakfast buffet offered a good selection, and the staff were helpful in addressing any issues promptly. However, there were some lapses in housekeeping with the minibar not being refilled, and the beds needing better attention. Overall, Palazzo Viviani Castello offers a unique and stylish experience at a reasonable price point, making it a good value for those seeking a taste of medieval Italy with modern comforts. If you can overlook minor inconveniences, the breathtaking views and charming ambiance make it a worthwhile stay for those looking to immerse themselves in the historical allure of the region.
